aadvantage Award Tickets: Buy and Book American Airlines Flight Tickets with Miles
American Airlines’ AAdvantage program rewards passengers traveling on American airline flights with the ability to add miles each time they fly with that airline and redeem them for tickets to travel the world for free, called award tickets.
Miles are added both for purchasing tickets on American Airlines and on any Oneworld alliance airline, or with associated service companies and credit cards joining the program. This way, with this loyalty program, when you have enough miles, you can redeem them for award tickets.
The existence of award ticket availability will be indicated when requesting the itinerary and, if it exists, it will be confirmed when the ticket is issued. There are hundreds of thousands of seats per year in all classes of travel, which you can reserve with your miles points, distributed on all flights and routes determined by American Airlines during the duration of the program.
To redeem points for award tickets, availability and quota extension for mileage redemption tickets vary by route, season, class, cabin capacity and expectations in terms of load factor. It must therefore be taken into account that the price quotas are limited.
If you decide not to use the award ticket, you can choose to return the ticket, which will involve both the full refund of miles and the amount paid in due time for fees and taxes. If you have paid issue fees, this amount will not be refunded.
